Guwahati: The Assam Bikers gang hit the limelight again. In the recent, the gang initiated an event with an aim to spread Cancer Awareness among the uneducated and ignorant crowd, reports stated.
As per reports, the Assam Bikers Beard Ride 2018 event held at Missionaries’ of Charity, Shanti Dan, was much more than just an initiative. They opened their hearts to the cancer patients and pledged to extend their support for their aid be it in monetary form or physical presence.
Chandan, a 13-year-old hailing from the suburbs of Nalbari, Karia Village is suffering from Blood Cancer at such a tender age and was admitted to GMCH but due to lack of financial aid, Chandan’s family found it hard to go ahead with his treatments and medications. This is when the Assam Bikers Association came to his rescue and donated a sum of Rs. 21,000 to the family in distress.
Now, Chandan has successfully gone through a couple of treatments including blood tests and is recovering, reports added.
