- Three exams were scheduled without break from April 5 to 7
- School principals seemed to be satisfied with the class 10th board exam schedule
New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has finally released the schedule for class 12th board examinations. Following the announcement, many Students along with their parents are not looking happy with the schedule. They showed their dissatisfaction towards it.
As per reports, the history exam has been scheduled on March 20, followed by mathematics on March 21. There is no gap for students studying both the subjects.
Another worry is that Joint Entrance Exam for IITs and other technical institutions is scheduled for April 8, a day before CBSE’s physical education exam. Along with this, students also complained that three exams were scheduled without break from April 5 to 7- psychology, political science and legal studies. These all concerns were expressed by students and parents as well on social media across the country.
Meanwhile, some CBSE officials contended that the schedule has been decided now after taking a number of factors so it cannot be changed.
There are around 200 subjects out of which students can have any combination. Students have such subject combination that science students take up one from the humanities and commerce subjects and vice-versa. No matter how much we try, some subjects might not get as many gap days as others, a CBSE official said.
According to the principal of Delhi’s Ahlcon International School Ashok Pandey, the question is not how much a student would be able to study in a day. The question how much he wouldn’t.
We need at least a day’s gap for revision, relaxation and switching from one subject to another. Two days should be the minimum break, but at least one days is necessary, he added.
Although, school principals seemed to be satisfied with the class 10th board exam schedule which released on Wednesday.
